Matthew Duhon

DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF VETERANS HOMES

Matthew Duhon promoted to Deputy Assistant Secretary 3 for the Louisiana Department of Veteran Affairs on April 1, 2022. In this role, Duhon oversees all five Veteran Homes in Louisiana. The five Veteran Homes are state of the art facilities providing quality health care for Louisiana Veterans regionally throughout the state with locations in Bossier, Shreveport, Jackson, Jennings and Reserve.  Prior to his role as Deputy Assist. Secretary, Duhon began his career at LDVA on March 9, 2009 as the Administrator of Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings. Duhon has over 30 years of health care experience in Long Term Care facilities. Duhon lives in Jennings, Louisiana married to Rachael L Duhon for 34 years and they have two children.
