Louisiana Veterans Home

The Louisiana Veterans Home is located in the rolling hills of East Feliciana Parish in Jackson, La. The 129-bed home sits on 82 sprawling acres of land, giving its residents beautiful views and a sense of serenity. Veterans may enjoy the walking trail, several covered sitting areas and fishing at the pond. Indoors brings a host of activities including bingo, arts and crafts and even an afternoon game of dice in the lounge. We welcome our visitors for Bible study, singing, pet therapy and more.

The home is conveniently located to Avoyelles, Concordia, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes as well as Adams, Amite, Pike and Wilkinson counties. Veterans do not have to reside in these parishes to live in the Louisiana Veterans Home.

Apply for Admission

Louisiana veterans who are honorably discharged, wartime or peacetime, and who served 90 days of active duty; spouses of veterans; and Gold Star parents are eligible to live in a veterans home. Individuals interested in living in a veterans home can complete an admissions applicationĀ and submit it to our admissions coordinator, or reach out for assistance.

How to Help

We welcome volunteers who want to give back to the hundreds of veterans who call one of our veterans homes their home. Our veterans love activities, from bingo to crafts and much more! Individuals or groups may sponsor and/or call bingo, donate food and drinks or bring your therapy animal for a visit. In addition, there are many events held at the home throughout the year, and volunteers are welcome for those as well. Contact us to find out how you can help.
