The Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery opened in February of 2012. The cemetery sits on 204 acres with rolling hills of green grass and beautifully landscaped property in the middle of the pines one mile from the Fort Polk Installation. The staff works hard to maintain the cemetery in a manner that reflects respect of the veterans and their family members and provides a veterans cemetery that is compliant with the National Cemetery Administration standards.
Our Carillon Bell Tower was donated by the American Veterans (AMVETS) National Foundation and our Louisiana AMVETS. The bell tower can play military service hymns, traditional hymns and seasonal selections.
There are two annual ceremonies at the cemetery: Memorial Day and Wreaths Across America Day. Both events are memorable experiences, and we welcome all families and visitors to attend.
